About The Author

Hi there, I am Anders. I am the owner of We Grow Rosemary. I also write and do research for every article here on the site and I love every second of it.

I started We Grow Rosemary to document and catalog everything I have learned about growing rosemary over the years while hopefully helping as many people as possible with any questions they might have about it.

I take pride in writing helpful articles that help my readers get better at growing rosemary. As you can read on the About Us page, that is essentially the entire mission of this website.

I care a lot about the information I share. I want it to be accurate and easy to understand. Because of that, my articles are based on real experience that I have acquired over more than a decade of growing rosemary. I always read books and do substantial research online about the topics I write about but one of my favorite ways to learn is to talk to experts. I am fortunate to know several people who are highly educated and knowledgeable about horticulture and agriculture. I learn A LOT from them but I also enjoy talking to other gardeners and employees at garden centers and plant nurseries. I highly recommend doing this if you want to learn some useful tips and tricks and perhaps even get to know some interesting people.

I have been lucky to grow up around passionate gardeners so gardening has always been a big part of my life although I take it much more seriously now than ever before. I have been a serious gardener for over a decade at this point.

I have a Master’s in Computer Science and Informatics and with that comes a whole lot of sitting at a desk. This quickly made me long for a good outdoor activity and that is precisely why I started taking gardening as seriously as I do. It just feels right.

Rosemary was one of the first plants I started growing and it quickly became special to me. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy growing (almost) all herbs and vegetables, but there is something about rosemary. I like the way it looks, behaves, and grows as well as the flavor and fragrance.

That’s why I decided to become an expert at growing rosemary so while I do not claim to be an expert yet, I am working hard on becoming one.

I would love to hear from you if you have any questions, feedback, or comments.
